Chapter 4:
The truth is revealed!
(Sonic's POV)
My stomach felt knotted up. My throat was dry. "When... d-did this happen?" I managed to say. I heard Silver sigh. "You mean... when did she die?" He asked. What did he think I was talking about?! I nodded 'yes'. "..... The day of your wedding." Tears formed in my eyes, but I didn't cry. "H-how?" I replied. "She was shot in the head..." Now I could help but cry. "Who would murder Amy? Eggman has been dead for months! What kind of enemy could she have made?!" I sobbed. Silver shruged, then suggested "Maybe you would like to know what happens in this... alternate... future." I never answered. He had on some kind of watch, dialed in some numbers, and grabbed on to my wrist. Bright lights started flashing. I closed my eyes, trying to avoid the blinding lights. When I opened them, we were in some kind of church, hiding behind some main doors. "Where are-" "Shh! It has already begun!" Silver whispered. I heard the preacher's voice speaking. "Why are we here? Why can't we stop this?" I asked. "We're here to show you what's going to happen, and you can study up on how to stop it from happening! And we can't stop this because if we interfear with anything in this time period, it will completely ruin the space-time-continuem!" Silver answered. "So, then-" "Quiet, Sonic! It's about to happen!" He interupted me. We looked into the main room. "I do." Future Sonic said. Future Amy seemed to snap back into reality at that moment. "And do you, Amy Rose, swear to stay by Sonic's side, whether it's through sickness or health, rich or poor?" The preacher asked. "Get ready!" Silver warned me. I wasn't sure if I was ready. "I d-" The lights flickered off. Everyone started to scream. "Guess who's back!" A voice growled. Apparently, this 'person' took out a gun and started randomly shooting all over the place. I could hear Amy's screams the loudest. "AMY!" And I guess that Future Sonic heard the ear-peircing shrieks, too. The lights turned back on. "Where's Amy?!" Future Sonic searched the entire room until he suddenly stopped, stuck speechless. I knew what he was shocked about... I just didn't want to see it, nor believe it. I got serious chills when I looked down at the bloody body of Amy Rose, just on the floor... possibly dead. "Someone call 911!!!" Future Tails shouted. "No, Tails... I-I'm much faster than an ambulance and I can get her to the hospital quicker..." Future Sonic whimpered. "But, Sonic-" "I said I can get her there faster!" His depression melted into anger. Scooping up Amy in his arms, he ran out one of the main doors. Silver and I watch as Future Sonic sped out of the church, carrying Future Amy to the nearest hospital. "D-does she die there?" I asked, my tone of voice softer than usual. He slowly nodded 'yes'. "After Amy's death, you were never the same again..." He whispered, hanging his head down. "Oh..." Why did her life have to end so tragicly?! A question came into my head. "How come we only have only the day of my wedding to stop this? If you have a time machine, can't we can go back in time more than once?" I was curious to how this worked. "Unfortunatly, my time machine is only a prototype. It can only work a certain amount of times before it stops working, and I'm afraid we only have enough energy to get us to the present time period." Silver admitted. Another important question struck me. "How do we get back into the present?" I asked. "We just go through the portal that I opened near the graveyard." Silver replied. I smacked him (not very hard) in the head. He toppled over, but got right back up. "OW! What the heck was that for?" "Silver, don't you realize that with the portal open in plain sight, anyone can get a free trip to the past?!" I shouted. "Don't worry. My time machine makes a bio scan when you first walk through the portal, so anyone else who tries to walk through will be blocked off. Only, my time machine portal doesn't block off metal..." Silver answered. That made me feel a little better. But before we entered the portal, it was then I realized that Robots were made of metal (No, duh!) and they could of gotten throught the portal easily...
