Future children, Chapter 15: All you need is love

All You Need is Love...

The happiest day ever just ended yesterday at 11:00 PM. A small, light orange fox was sleeping peacefully on a bed, light snores coming from him. Right now, it was 6:30 AM, kind of early for a young fox to wake up. But he woke up, rubbing his gloved hands on his eyes. Sky blue eyes wandered about around the room. He realized one thing; It was Amy's birthday, and it was also the day when Sonic and Amy go to Jamaica for their honeymoon. They could've gone yesterday, but they figured they wanted to spend a little bit more time with their friends at Amy's party.

Tails set his feet on the wooden floor, getting up and walking to the bathroom. Usually, he always wakes up at 7:00, but 6:30 was okay for him, too. He got a a toothbrush and toothpaste. He put the toothpaste on the brushy part on the toothbrush, and started scrubbing the toothpaste with his toothbrush on his teeth.

After 1 minute, he finished, gargled water in his mouth, spit it out, and wiped the water away with a towel. he went downstairs and sat down on the couch. He got a remote and turned on the T.V to see what's on.

"Cartoon Network, no. Nick Jr., no. MTV, no. CMT...fine." he stayed with CMT: Country Music Television. He didn't know why, but he liked country music, he just didn't know why. Carrie Underwood's 'Jesus Take the Wheel' was on. he watched that for a couple minutes, then the phone rang. He looked at the time and saw that it was only 7:00. "Now, who could be calling at this hour?"

He picked it up and said, "Hello? Who is this? ...Cream?!?! Why the heck are you calling at 7:00 in the morning? You know...Oh, never mind, but the real question is; why did you call me?"

Cream answered, "I just wanted to see how you were doing!"

"Uh huh, sure, right, let me guess, you don't have a present for Amy, do you?"

"...No I don't...I can't think of one!"

"Then just give her a card! I made a card and put 40 dollars in it."

"Sure, that's easy for you to say, BUT I'M HER BFF!" Cream screamed.

"I know you're her...BFF, but still, if you do, give her 50 dollars for all I care."

"Ugh, but I just want it to be special...I mean, Sonic's present is to take her to Jamaica!! I mean, why can't it be that simple?"

"It's not simple for you because it's simple for Sonic; HE HAS 1 ZILLION DOLLARS!! God."

"Are you cranky? I can call you later if you are."

"No, really?" He sarcastically asked.

"Tails..."

"Okay, fine. I'm sorry, Cream, it's just that...Sonic's going away for 2 weeks in Jamaica, and I never got used to that yet!"

"Same here with Amy! But, as long as they're happy, I'm happy." Tails smiled.

"Yeah, I guess you're right about that part." He sighed. "Well, I guess I have to think of a present for you to give her, huh?"

"Well, you don't have to, I mean, I just wanted some ideas, that's all."

"No, no. Let me help you, okay? Here, how about this; I'll take you to the mall, and see what we think Amy will like. How's that sound?"

"Okay!! Do you have money, because I only have 40 dollars." Tails sweatdropped.

"Cream, I think 40 dollars is enough, but I'll bring 10 dollars, just in case."

"Okay!! What time?"

"Uhh...How about 9:30?"

"Okay, I'll meet you at the central station!"

"Alright, see you."

"Bye." They both hung up. Phone rang again.

"UGHH," He screamed at the phone. "Who is it?"

"Hey, Tails, it's me Sonic. Are you okay?"

"Oh..." Tails flushed in embarassment when he heard his best friend. "Sorry. Got a little carried off there."

"Oh, haha, yeah. So anyway, what's up?"

"What's up? Well, usually, the ceiling. But I'm fine, thanks for asking." Tails could picture Sonic sweatdropping.

"...Okay then. So, you think you can handle for me going away for 2 weeks?"

"Um, yeah, sure, why not?" Sonic laughed.

"Yeah. But hey, at least you're happy...right?"

"Oh yeah, I'm very happy!"

"Are you sure...?"

"Of course!! I just...got to get used to it, that's all!"

"Okay, then. Well, I guess I'll see you at Amy's party."

"Yep."

"So...bye?"

"NO, WAIT! I need to ask you something important...very important."

"Uh...okay."

"Um...I need...advice." (Okay, to make this more...simpler for you, I'm gonna make Tails at age 13 and Cream at age 12. Okay?)

"Advice?"

"On...how to ask a girl out."

"Ohh...You like someone, eh? Lem'me guess...Cream?"

"Yes. I want to ask her out, but...I don't exactly know how to say it." Sonic chuckled.

"Well, don't worry, all you need is just add a little present like, flowers or chocolate, or maybe nothing, and just ask her to go to a resturant with her or the park, and by park, I mean Twinkle Park, or someplace simple."

"Really?"

"Hey, it worked for Amy." Tails sweatdropped.

"Sonic, you two started going out since the week after the future children came."

"Well...just shut up!"

Tails laughed. "But I'll accept that advice and see if it works. Thanks Sonic, see you at the party!"

"Yep! Bye little bro."

"Bye, big bro!" They both hung up. Tails sighed. His throat started to hurt after all that talking, but it'll get better soon. He looked at the time and it was 8:00. He decided to watch TV while he waited for the time to come to go shopping with Cream to help her find a present for Amy. He watched MTV, and watched it until...

In the mall at the promised time...

"So, like, what do you want to get her? Like...some clothes or jewelry..?" Tails asked, walking with Cream in the crowded mall.

"Anything that revolves around friendship," she replied. Tails chuckled.

"I think I know just what you're talking about..."

---At Amy's Birthday Party...

Everyone was eating food; precisely pizza, patato chips, cake (later on), and many more. Sonic noticed that there was a couple people missing. Knuckles and Rouge. -Hmm, I wonder what these two are up to...they were here before...- Sonic went into his and Amy's house searched all of the bedrooms to see if they were in there. They weren't, but then he heard voices. It came from the bathroom. He pressed his ear against the bathroom door and listened carefully. He heard moaning and grunting. Sonic sweatdropped. He thought of the "wrong" idea and decided to just leave them be.

He went back outside and Amy went up to him and gave him a quick peck on the lips. Then she held both of his hands.

"Hey Sonic, where were you?"

"Oh, nowhere, really. I was looking for Knuckles and Rouge."

"Really? To think it about it, I haven't seen them either. Did you find them?"

"...Well...they both were in the bathroom and I just didn't want to get the wrong idea...so...yeah." Amy first looked at him confused, but then she got the wrong idea too, so let's just ignore that part and go back to the point of this chapter!

Amy now started to open the presents. Tails gave her a card that said, "Happy Sweet 16. Have a good year with that age!" And in it was 40 dollars. Rouge's present, who isn't here at the moment, gave her a My Chemical Romance (MCR) CD. Knuckles gave her a card with 30 dollars in it. Cream's present, (which they found after maybe 2 hours of looking around for the thing) was a bracelet that said Friends 4Ever, and a little smily face on the right. She really liked it and hugged Cream. The little rabbit looked at Tails and he gave her a thumbs up. Cream smiled. Sonic saw that and smiled He could see a small connection between them.

Tikal and Shadow both gave her a card each. 10 dollars in both of them. Sonic's present...well, it was to take her to Jamaica!

After everything, they decided to play a couple games before Sonic and Amy goes. They were going to play truth or dare, and to make it more fair, they were going to do it the old - spin the bottle - way! Finally, Knuckles and Rouge came out of the house to join them. No one knew what they did, but they didn't bother asking.

Amy got to spin the bottle first since it's her birthday. She spun it and it pointed to Knuckles...(Me: If I were Amy, I'd just stare at him and say"That ain't gonna happen. Sorry.")

---After a while of intense playing, they were done...---

"Well, we better get going. We both have a whole new day starting tomorrow, and I don't want to be tired on that day!" Amy explained. Everyone nodded and they all hugged Sonic and Amy and they waved good bye to them.

Tails and Cream were both walking back to Cream's house. Tails promised her to walk her home after they left. "Wasn't that fun? I really liked that party!" Cream brought up.

"Yeah, I liked it too. I liked it when Amy dared Knuckles to go kiss Rouge passionately on the lips for 3 minutes and he actually did it!"

"I know!! I can't believe Rouge kissed back too!"

"Yeah..." They soon got to Cream's house and Cream was going to go in her house, but he stopped her. "Wait...I want to ask you something..."

"Sure, what is it Tails?"

Tails took a deep breath before saying, "Would you like to go out with me someday, like maybe go somewhere fun...?"

Cream looked at him, smiled, and replied...
