Escaping Eggman part 3 ch 10

Chapter 10:
A sudden surprise
(Sonic's POV)
The light of dawn made me open my eyes. I felt really sore. "Sonic!" Amy ran into the room. "Are you feeling okay?" She asked, dabbing my head with a warm wash-cloth. "Yeah... I just had a really weird dream that Metal Sonic returned and you were-" "That wasn't a dream, Sonic." Amy replied, frowning. "Then... how are you awake? I thought that he poisoned you!" I exclaimed. "I don't think so... he just beat me until I was unconscious." She answered. "I woke up to see that you were hurt, so I immediately brought you here to rest and heal." Amy explained, petting my royal blue quills. I smiled, saying "Thanks, Ames." She was silent for a while, before saying "I just recently went to the Doctor's office for a check-up, and I have something very important to tell you..." Amy's smile disappeared. I soon became concerned. Was there something wrong with her? She sighed. "Well... after our honeymoon... I began to feel... weird... And the doctor told me that... I was pregnant."

(8 months later)
I felt something push me. "Wake up, Sonic! It's time!" I then realized that it was Amy, so I opened my eyes. "Hurry, Sonic!" Immediately, I got up and helped Amy to the car. She held my hand tightly. I slammed my foot on the gas pedal as soon as I got into the car.

"I'm scared, Sonic!" Amy whimpered. I pushed her wheel chair through the hospital. "I am, too. But everything's going to be okay, I promise." I told her. She gave me a faint smile. We arrived at the operating room soon after that.

Waiting. Hoping. That's all I really can do at this point. The doorknob turned. I jolted to the door as the doctor opened it. "You can come in now, Mr. Sonic." He said. Walking into the operating room, I spotted Amy's bed. She was holding a baby hedgehog. The baby opened her eyes. She had black quills, with big sea-blue eyes. "What's her name?" I asked. "Midnight the hedgehog." Amy answered, looking down at the baby girl.
