Chapter 2:
Missing (Amy's POV)
It was about 9:00 at night. Sonia was sleeping and I was feeding Speedy some warm milk out of a bottle. Once I put him to bed, I glanced at Midnight's shut door. I knocked on it lightly, just in case she was sleeping. The door creaked open. I stuck my head inside of her room. The air was slightly chilly. "Midnight?" I called. I searched her room. She was no where in sight. "Where could she-" I noticed that the window was open, the curtains blowing in the breeze.

"Tails... I've decided that I want to go home." I said after the long battle between us and an eight-armed robot was finished. "But, Sonic... We're still on the search for Metal Sonic, remember? Do you really want to go back home?" Tails asked me. "Yeah... I haven't seen or heard from my family in such a long time... I just hope that they're okay." I told him. He sighed. "Alright. But it can only be a visit because we still need to capture Metal Sonic." Tails replied. "Great! We can go tomorrow!"Knuckles seemed to be listening to the conversation, even though before, he acted like he couldn't care less. I grinned, knowing that I could use this 'excitement' to my advantage. "Why so eager all of a sudden, Knux? Are you happy because you're gonna see... Rouge?" I teased. His face turned red. "N-no! I would never be anxious to see that batty woman!" Knuckles argued. "Whatever you say, Knuckles." Tails said sarcastically.
