Chapter 4:
Sonic's return
(Sonic's POV)
"We're here!" We arrived at Knothole village... finally. But it was more secluded than we thought it would be. I jumped off of the wing. "So... where is everyone?" Knuckles wondered out loud. "I don't know... Sonic, you check out with Amy. Knuckles, you go find Rouge, while I go to Cream's house and see if she's there." Tails instructed. "Okay." Knuckles and I agreed.

"Finally, I'm back home." I sighed of relief. I knocked on the door. Nothing. I tried opening the door. It was locked. I looked around for a key, until I noticed a quite disturbing detail on the sidewalk. Red stuff... perhaps blood... splattered all over the concrete. It looked pretty fresh, whatever it was. I shuddered of all the horrible thoughts that entered my head. "I have your wife and kids, Sonic."

That voice.... it could only be Metal Sonic. "Where are they?!" I growled. "My robot minions are taking them in as prisoners." He said, snapping his metallic fingers. Three robots appeared beside him. My family... they were trapped in glass capsules carried by the robots. "Sonic!" I heard Amy shriek through the glass. "Let them go!" I demanded, my hands balling up into fists. "Only if you can save them!" The robots turned on their back-rockets, flying into the sky. "So long, Sonic the hedgehog." Metal Sonic hissed, flaying right after the other robots. "Man," I thought. "He really gets on my nerves!"

"So that's why we need to find Metal Sonic!" I said after explaining what had happened to Knuckles and Tails. "I see. Well, Cream was at her house taking care of Cheese." Tails turned to Knuckles. "Hows about Rouge?" He asked. Knuckles shrugged. "I saw her making off with some jewels... I think she's alright." He replied. "Okay, so we need to find Metal, destroy him and his other robot companions, and rescue your family." Tails told me. Knuckles agreed. "So what are we waiting for? Let's go!" I exclaimed.
